Stoke City Council

The Challenge

Stoke City Council needed networked CCTV systems installed across 11 bus shelters in the city centre.

The Work

The cameras were installed and a wireless network was established around each bus shelter, enabling an operative to drive up to each shelter and log on to the specific camera and download historical footage. Griffin worked closely with JC Decaux (bus shelter manufacturers) in designing the hardware kit to be fitted into the roof of each bus shelter.

The Results

Each shelter can hold footage locally for 7 days, giving the operatives plenty of time to visit the shelter after a reported incident. The system is fully operational and is constantly called upon by Stoke Police when investigation incidents around the city.
